About

Ellipsis performed their inaugural concert in 2009 as part of the St John’s May Festival in Notting Hill and have relished making music together ever since. Their concert programmes are original and varied including combinations of solos, duos and trios for oboe, flute, and piano; all are tailored according to venue and occasion.  They have particularly enjoyed performing in the Royal Opera House Crush Room Series, and recording a CD of new music, including two new commissions for composer Susie Self.  They love collaborating with guest artists, and have recently performed with tenor James Gilchrist, as part of the Hull City of Culture concert season in 2017, and at Cheltenham Concert Club in 2018.  All members of Ellipsis enjoy busy and varied careers across the globe performing in many of the world’s leading concert and recital halls and are distinguished professors at leading specialist music schools and music conservatoires.
